For Anshul, life is a journey. An adventurer at heart and a traveller in spirit, he has found his perfect companion in his motorcycle. An animate machine that not just takes him places but also gives him a soulful perspective to life around him.

 

His world is a colourful yet exquisitely sensitive tapestry of human emotions woven within the differing yet singular realms of fiction, non-fiction, commercials and development work. And he straddles this entire spectrum with ease.

 

After completing his course in Cinematography from Satyajit Ray Film and TV Institute (SRFTI), Anshul went on to work on a series of independent projects ranging from Shorts, Feature Films, and Documentaries. In 2018, he was selected for the

Interdoc Masterclass in Serbia.

He shot ‘INSAAN-E’ a documentary feature to be showcased on Zee 5 and was the Second Unit Cinematographer for

Netflix’s show- ‘The Romantics’.  Herd Walk, a feature documentary on the lives of a shepherding community in Karnattaka premiered at Alt EFF film festival in 2023.

Night of the Bride, a short film he filmed was declared 2023's Jury's Scariest Short winner at the Overlook Film Festival which is The Best Genre Film Festival in the world. It also won the Audience Award for the Best Asian Short at the prestigious Fantasia International Film Festival.

He recently completed filming ’Shoes’, an indie feature. ‘Kabeer’, another indie feature that he filmed, is scheduled for release in 2024.

The films he has shot have been screened at various film festivals worldwide, including Cannes.
